Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Drew McIntyre.

• Drew McIntyre is known for roasting his opponents online and recently revealed that WWE stars he targets don’t confront him directly.

Speaking to Sean Ross Sapp, McIntyre said they complain to management instead, but he doesn’t care, challenging them to fight him if they have a problem.

“No. They go to management and cry. I say ‘so what?’ Come and beat me up if you have a problem with it.”

CM Punk has been a frequent target of McIntyre’s social media jabs, but according to The Scottish Warrior, Punk handles the banter well and hasn’t been bothered by it.

• Drew McIntyre is determined to make 2025 his year, undergoing a last-minute knee procedure to drain fluid before SmackDown on February 21. Speaking to Sports Illustrated’s The TakeDown, he revealed his knee wasn’t bending properly, prompting the decision despite his doctor’s reservations.

McIntyre insisted he wouldn’t let the issue hinder his performance, stating, “I’ve got a show to put on,” before stepping into the ring and taking care of Jimmy Uso.

Heading into Elimination Chamber, McIntyre has no concerns about his knee and is determined to compete against top stars like Cena and Punk. He emphasized that nothing will be handed to him—he’ll keep proving he belongs at the top, even if he has to “hold [himself] together with duct tape.”

Here’s what the WrestleMania 36 main eventer said:

“I couldn’t bend [my knee] fully, unfortunately. I told the doctor, listen, let’s get this fluid out. He wasn’t exactly over the moon about it, but medically it was safe or we wouldn’t have done it in the first place.

To put it simply, I’m not a pu$$y. A lot of the guys are now. I said get that out. I’ve gotta show to put on. I’ve got a performance to do and this is affecting me. So we took that fluid out. I got in the ring, I did my job. I left Jimmy not looking like a winner, that’s for sure.

You don’t have to hand me a thing. I’ll keep taking and taking and taking and showing why I belong on top. And that’s a match I’m not gonna miss if I have to hold myself together with duct tape.”
