Roman Reigns defeated LA Knight in the main event of the Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship.
Some fans think Knight’s momentum has been crushed with this loss, but former WCW President Eric Bischoff doesn’t think so.
Below is what Bischoff said on his 83 Weeks podcast:
“I don’t think the loss to Roman is going to make one bit of difference. I don’t think it’s going to stall his momentum. If anything, it’s going to make his fanbase want it even more, and that’s what you hope for.
You want the fans to want it more than LA Knight wants it. You want the fans to want it more than the company wants it. You want the fans to become undeniable in their desire to see LA Knight advance.
I don’t think it’s going to be very difficult at all for LA Knight to pick up right where he left off, I really don’t.
If anything, in a weird way, I think it’s going to help him.”
Ahead of tonight’s post-Crown Jewel episode of SmackDown, Grayson Waller mocked Knight for his loss to The Tribal Chief.
Below is what Waller tweeted:
“Seems LA Knight is in desperate need of the Grayson Waller Rub after Roman ran through him at Crown Jewel.
Luckily A-Town Down Under is a very handsome team, so maybe he can go back to managing some real stars to keep relevant.”
