• SmackDown Star’s Return Is Imminent

According to the Wrestling Observer, Jacob Fatu’s return to SmackDown is imminent.

His last televised match on the blue brand was on the August 15th episode of SmackDown, where he teamed up with Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn to defeat My Family Tree (Solo Sikoa, JC Mateo, and Tonga Loa) in a 6-man tag team match.

Since then, The Samoan Werewolf has worked a lot of Live Events and dark (untelevised) matches. His last match took place after the September 12th episode of SmackDown, where he defeated Rusev.

Earlier this year, Fatu defeated LA Knight at WrestleMania 41 to win the United States Championship. He lost the title to Solo Sikoa at Night of Champions. He failed to win the title back against Sikoa in a rematch inside a Steel Cage at SummerSlam.

• WWE Almost Canceled IYO SKY vs. Stephanie Vaquer At Wrestlepalooza

Stephanie Vaquer is now the Women’s World Champion after defeating IYO SKY in a match that received widespread praise at Wrestlepalooza. But according to La Primera herself, fans almost didn’t get to see that match happen at all.

In a recent vlog on WWE’s Spanish-language YouTube channel, Vaquer revealed that WWE came close to canceling the match altogether because she wasn’t medically cleared.

“What happened was, unfortunately, I had not been feeling well for the past two weeks. I was sick, so I did not feel good physically and, on Sunday, the medical team told me not to participate on RAW on Monday. They spoke with the executives, and I was removed from RAW. They also told me that if I could not make it to RAW, I would no longer be part of Wrestlepalooza, which I completely understood, but I still felt healthy enough to wrestle, so I did everything possible.

On Monday morning, I went to the doctor, and by noon, I was cleared to compete. Around 12 pm and 2 pm, I was already at the airport to head to RAW. Everything was very last-minute, and they were even preparing to announce that I was not cleared for Wrestlepalooza on Saturday.”

She explained that WWE put her through a series of tests before giving her the green light to compete.

“They ran every kind of test on me, and thankfully, I am cleared to compete. Maybe I am not in my absolute best condition after being sick for almost three weeks, but I have the clearance to compete. Everything happens for a reason, and everything worked out perfectly so I could compete for the title at Wrestlepalooza, but it was very difficult to recover my body in 5 days. Sometimes, you don’t always wrestle with your body, but with your heart, and I have that very present. My body may not be at 100% but my heart always is at 100%.”

On the Wrestlepalooza Post-Show, Triple H revealed that Vaquer had been very sick in recent weeks with “flu-like symptoms.”

• Top WWE Star is a Free Agent

Logan Paul first appeared in WWE in 2021 during the Kevin Owens vs. Sami Zayn feud on the road to WrestleMania 37. He then signed a contract with the company a year later and became a part of the roster.

Ahead of RAW’s move to Netflix earlier this year, the former United States Champion moved from SmackDown to the red brand during the WWE Transfer Window. However, his status within the company has changed now.

According to WrestleVotes, Paul is currently listed internally within the WWE roster as a free agent, meaning creative has the freedom to work him in to either RAW or SmackDown storylines when required.

The YouTuber last appeared on WWE programming at Clash In Paris last month, where he lost to John Cena.

• Jazmyn Nyx’s WWE NXT Salary Revealed

NXT star Jazmyn Nyx is leaving WWE. The company wanted to retain Nyx but refused to adjust its contract offer.

According to Fightful Select, Nyx was said to be earning around $75,000 per year, and the same amount was offered to her in a new multi-year deal. It’s unclear if the new contract would have included pay increases over time.

For comparison, while new recruits can make significantly less than that figure, several NXT talents are reportedly on six-figure salaries – in some cases even exceeding WWE’s main roster minimum base pay of $350,000 (like Jordynne Grace, who is on a main roster salary in NXT).

When a fan on Instagram suggested that NXT wrestlers typically earn between $80,000 and $150,000, Nyx responded that there wouldn’t be an issue if that were accurate. One fellow NXT performer also told Fightful that Nyx likely took home less than $60,000 after taxes, while still covering expenses such as wrestling gear and travel.
