• ON THIS DAY IN PRO-WRESTLING HISTORY (June 9, 1991) – UWF Beach Brawl

On this day in 1991, Herb Abrams’ Universal Wrestling Federation aired ‘UWF Beach Brawl’ LIVE on PPV from the Manatee Civic Center in Palmetto, Florida.

This was the first and only pay-per-view the Universal Wrestling Federation ever produced, as it was considered a failure with only 550 fans in the 4,000 seat arena and also the PPV only drew a low 0.10 buyrate.

Tamina faced off against Bayley for the SmackDown Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank last month, where she lost. After the match she was humiliated by Sasha Banks as well.

She was very confident about winning the Title, but it looks like the loss has caused her to snap and it could be leading to a character change for her.

She took to Twitter to give a glimpse at her new character, where she’s inside a mental hospital wearing a straight jacket.
