On an episode of his ‘The Snake Pit’ podcast, WWF Legend Jake Roberts opened up about some lesser-known aspects of his time in the ring, including some surprising revelations about his fellow WWF Superstars. Among the tidbits shared was one particularly eyebrow-raising detail: the peculiar odor of none other than Vader.

Vader, known for his imposing stature and impressive in-ring skills, was a formidable presence during his wrestling career. However, according to Jake Roberts, there was one aspect of Vader that was less than appealing – his smell.

Roberts candidly described it as reminiscent of baby puke, a detail that adds a humorous yet unexpected layer to Vader’s legacy.

While Jake singled out Vader for his distinct aroma, he also hinted at other WWF stars who possessed similarly unpleasant scents. The behind-the-scenes insights offer fans a glimpse into the less glamorous side of professional wrestling, where intense physicality and close quarters sometimes collide with personal hygiene.

Here’s what Jake said:

“Oh my God, it’s so simple. Vader. God Almighty, he reeked. Horrible. Smelt like baby puke. You know, it was just brutal. I’m sure they did, but f**k, it didn’t do much good.

Another one was King Kong Bundy. Bundy’s shoes smell so f**king bad. That when he took them off, you would leave the dressing room. I’m telling you, it was bad, man.

It was so f**king bad that the Road Warriors, one night, Bundy went to the ring, when he came back in, his shoes were on fire. They sprayed him with lighter fluid and set him on fire.

Well, The British Bulldog was pretty rank at times too. Yeah, his was just from not washing his clothes.”

Roberts’ willingness to share such anecdotes underscores the camaraderie and authenticity that often define the wrestling community. Despite the larger-than-life personas presented on screen, wrestlers are real people with quirks and idiosyncrasies just like anyone else.

As fans continue to reminisce about the glory days of WWF/WWE and its iconic personalities, revelations like these add a new layer of intrigue to the stories that have captivated audiences for decades. It’s a reminder that even legends like Vader were not immune to the quirks and foibles that make us all human.

In the world of professional wrestling, where larger-than-life characters and epic battles reign supreme, it’s the unexpected moments and behind-the-scenes anecdotes that often leave the most lasting impression.

Jake Roberts’ revelation about Vader’s peculiar smell is just one example of the colorful tapestry that is the world of WWE, reminding us that even the mightiest superstars have their own unique quirks.
