John Cena will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against Randy Orton in the main event of tonight’s Backlash premium live event.
Fightful Select reported the following about Cena’s title reign:
“Those that we spoke to claimed that John Cena’s title reign was to continue into the Summer.
John Cena retaining is our lock pick. However, considering the nature of his character, it’s tough to say if he will “win,” or will get DQ’d.”

2. Women’s Intercontinental Championship: Lyra Valkyria (c) vs. Becky Lynch

5. Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Randy Orton

• Identity Of The Fake Randy Orton On SmackDown Revealed
In the main event segment of last night’s SmackDown, John Cena addressed Randy Orton ahead of their Undisputed WWE Championship match. Cena said he will face Orton for the last time at Backlash, and that your childhood will die when he defeats Randy and retains the Title.
Cena said Randy only has a job in WWE because of his family ties, and called Randy a lazy boy. John said he is the Greatest of All Time, and Randy is the Greatest of All Time at doing the bare minimum. John said Randy will leave Backlash like his 2006 drug test – a failure.
A man in a black mask went for an RKO on John, but Cena countered and took him out with an Attitude Adjustment. The real Randy came out from behind and took out Cena with an RKO.
Orton posed with the WWE Championship to end SmackDown.
