• Sting No Longer Under Contract With WWE, Cody Rhodes Teases Sting Appearing In AEW

The franchise of WCW, Sting, made a name for himself in every promotion he stepped in.

His last match was against Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship at Night Of Champions 2015, after which he was forced to retire due to a neck injury.

As we noted earlier, there was speculation that his contract with WWE ended when he was removed from a line of Mattel action figures.

Now Pro Wrestling Sheet is also reporting that Sting’s contract with WWE is up.

However, there’s still a possibility that the two sides will work out a possible merchandising deal going forward.

The Icon has been pretty active on Twitter these days, and he’s been interacting a lot with stars from WWE and AEW.

Lance Archer of AEW recently expressed his desire of working a match with Sting.
