• Sting’s Wish To Face The Undertaker In A Cinematic Match Was Reportedly Denied By Vince McMahon
WWE Hall Of Famer Sting shocked everyone when he showed up on this week’s “Winter Is Coming” edition of AEW Dynamite, after Cody Rhodes and TNT Champion Darby Allin defeated Ricky Starks and PowerHouse Hobbs of Team Taz.
He had a staredown with Cody, Darby and Arn Anderson.
According to Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, Sting wanted to do a cinematic match with The Undertaker in WWE, but it never appealed to Vince McMahon.
The belief is that WWE had “no interest” in using The Icon as a regular character on TV, while AEW President Tony Khan wants to do the opposite.
Khan wants to use Sting regularly as “he’s trying to find a way to bring back the lapsed WCW audience”.
