Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Stone Cold Steve Austin, Brock Lesnar and Haku.
• In 2022, Stone Cold Steve Austin came out of retirement after 19 years. In the main event of WrestleMania 38 – Night 1, Austin defeated Kevin Owens in a No Holds Barred match.
However, the original plan wasn’t for a match and Austin ended up changing the plan himself just a couple of days before the show.
Below is what Owens said about this while speaking to James Williams:
“Vince McMahon told me at the Royal Rumble that year, which was a few months before, that I would be involved with Stone Cold at WrestleMania. We didn’t know what it was going to be; We certainly didn’t know it was going to be a match.
We just had a loose plan of we are going to have a Kevin Owens Show with Steve Austin and go from there, and that’s what it stayed for a long time until a couple of days before (the event).
When we got to Dallas, and you know, Steve felt a certain way and felt pretty good, looked pretty good, and we just started talking about what if it turned to this, what if it turns into that, and it all came together the way people watched it.”

• While speaking to Wrestling Shoot Interviews, WWF Veteran The Barbarian shared his perspective on a potential real fight between Brock Lesnar and Haku, who are considered two of the toughest real-life bada$$es in pro-wrestling history.
The Barbarian acknowledged Lesnar’s likely advantage under proper rules, stating, “These are two different animals from different styles. I never met Brock; I respect him for what he did. And of course, I respect my brother, Haku is my brother but man, it’s a tough one. Okay, let me put it this way. If it goes by the rules, Brock will win. Brock will tie Haku every which way.”
However, The Barbarian also pointed out the unique strengths of Haku in an all-out brawl, saying, “But if anything goes, I have to give it to Haku. Haku has crazy strength, and in a no-rules scenario, he would have the edge. That’s my opinion.”
The Barbarian emphasized the challenge of predicting the outcome due to the distinct styles and backgrounds of the two formidable wrestlers.
