• Stone Cold Steve Austin Expected To Wrestle At WrestleMania 39

According to several ongoing rumors and reports, WWE is looking to secure 3 of their biggest names of all time, The Rock, John Cena & Stone Cold Steve Austin for the 2-Night WrestleMania 39 premium live event, that will take place at the SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, California (near Hollywood) on April 1st & April 2nd 2023.

There are especially high hopes for The Rock to main event Night 2 against his real-life cousin, the Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, and put Roman over clean.

Yesterday, Fightful Select reported that Triple H is trying to get The Rock’s biggest WWF Attitude Era rival Stone Cold Steve Austin to come out of retirement once again, after he already returned for one more match this past April and defeated Kevin Owens at WrestleMania 38:

“WWE offered Stone Cold Steve Austin another match since the regime change happened.

We’re told WWE at least wants him to do more with the company. Specifically, we’re told that while the Vince McMahon regime had hoped to have Austin come back to do another match, that the Triple H regime had actually made an offer for Austin to do another match.

The sources that we spoke to weren’t sure if that meant for a Saudi Arabia match, WrestleMania, or anything else, but that there was an offer. Those sources presumed it was for WrestleMania in LA, but wouldn’t confirm that or a potential opponent.”

The Wrestling Observer then went on to report the following on the Austin/WrestleMania 39 situation:

“There is smoke to that fire. It’s all hands on deck. They’ve got two nights of WrestleMania and there’s big money matches [Austin] can do.”
