• Supreme Court Refuses To Hear Concussion Lawsuit Appeals Against WWE, WWE’s Attorney Comments

The Supreme Court of the United States of America recently declined to hear the appeals of many former WWF/E Wrestlers who sued the company for failing to protect them from repeated head injuries that were linked to CTE (long term brain damage).

While the former NFL Players were actually successful with a similar lawsuit, which was even made into a Hollywood movie with Will Smith called ‘Concussion’, the Wrestlers did not succeed with theirs.

Attorney Konstantine Kyros, who filed the lawsuit, said:

“The wrestlers are dying of CTE despite the inaction of the justice system. Our team is proud to have brought their claims to our highest court and hopeful that this brings awareness to their ongoing struggles.”

WWE’s attorney Jerry McDevitt told ESPN:

“We’re glad it’s finally over. We were completely vindicated.”

Below is the list of former WWF/E Superstars who were a part of this lawsuit:

– Marty Jannetty

– Road Warrior Animal

– Paul Orndorff

– Chavo Guerrero Jr.

– Ahmed Johnson

– Barry Darsow (Smash / Repo Man)

– Shane Douglas (Dean Douglas)

– Dave & Earl Hebner

– Heidenreich

– Sabu

– The late Jimmy Snuka

– The late King Kong Bundy

– The late Mr. Fuji

– The late Kamala

… & several others
