Old School ECW Announcer Joey Styles (Real name: Joseph Bonsignore) celebrates his 48th birthday today.

Joey Styles is well remembered as the famous voice of Extreme Championship Wrestling from 1993 until they closed their doors in early 2001.

Not only was Styles doing both, color commentary & play-by-play commentary on his own, but he was also the host of the weekly TV show “ECW Hardcore TV”, and often also worked as the company’s ring announcer.

From 2005 to 2016, he worked for the WWE, mostly doing backstage jobs like for wwe.com or the official app, but he also served as a commentator on WWE’s version of ECW (on ScyFy), as well as the two ECW One Night Stand PPVs.

• Tamina Snuka Concussed After Taking A Brutal Strike At WWE Live Event

During Friday night’s WWE Live Event in Augusta, Maine, Tamina Snuka teamed up with Sarah Logan to take on the team of Naomi & Dana Brooke.

During the match, Tamina took a knee to the head from Naomi and was knocked out. Tamina was laid out on the mat for about 5 minutes with the WWE trainers checking on her. Tamina was then helped to the back.

According to PWInsider, word going on is that Tamina suffered a concussion due to this knee strike to the head.
