• “That would never happen. That’s not even worth wasting any mental energy” – Jon Moxley On WWE vs. AEW

All Elite Wrestling recently agreed to a working partnership with Impact Wrestling and New Japan Pro Wrestling.

During a recent appearance on Wrestling Fetish, AEW President Tony Khan said he’s open to working with WWE as well.

Here’s what Khan said:

“They are more than welcome. As I’ve said before, the forbidden door is open anytime. Just come and knock. If they were to knock on the door, I would certainly be willing to let them in.

Come in, please. I would love that. Come to Jacksonville, I’m begging you.”

Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley (fka Dean Ambrose in WWE) spoke to Inside The Ropes and was asked about the possibility of WWE & AEW working together and doing WWE vs. AEW dream matches.

Here’s what Moxley said:

“That would never happen. That’s not even worth wasting any mental energy to…you know. I mean, if you want to fantasy book some cool sh*t. You know, maybe you could fantasy book it for, like, fun magazine, stuff.

You know, like back in the day, in magazines, you used to always have, like, ‘Dream match. Bill Goldberg versus Steve Austin,’ in ’98. But that ain’t gonna happen.

It’d be cool to think about the cool sh*t that could happen, you know, like a big summit at the Tokyo Dome, AEW, NJPW, WWE or some sh*t but that sh*t ain’t going to happen.

So, you know, they do their thing. They stay over there.”
