Yokozuna - Heaviest Wrestlers of all time

If you were watching the WWF World Wrestling Federation on TV during the early and mid-90s, you were lucky enough to witness this guy in action.

Despite his size and weight, Yokozuna was always very agile and quick in the ring, as he could do things in the ring other Super Heavyweights, who were a lot lighter than him, couldn’t do.

First starting as The Great Kokina during the mid 80s, he wrestled for NJPW New Japan Pro Wrestling, the AWA American Wrestling Association, and a bunch of other promotions before finally joining the WWF in the fall of 1992.

Yokozuna won the WWF World Championship twice in 1993, first at WWF WrestleMania IX, where he instantly lost it again to Hulk Hogan, and then regaining the belt from the Hulkster at WWF King of the Ring 1993.

He was constantly getting heavier during his time in the WWF and he wrestled his last match for the promotion at the 1996 Survivor Series as part of a traditional 4 vs 4 Survivor Series elimination match, in a losing effort.

Yokozuna gained even more weight after his WWF career and his UK tour in 2000 was sadly his last.
