Teddy Long’s greatest client … or should we say clients, was the Tag Team of Doom, which he managed in 1990, right after they lost their masks against the Steiner Brothers.
Originally managed by “Woman” Nancy Sullivan, Ron Simmons & Butch Reed were now under the managerial services of “The Godfather” Theodore Long, and got revenge by defeating the Steiner Brothers for the NWA World Tag Team Championship at NWA/WCW Capitol Punishment 1990.
Doom would successfully defend their World Tag Team Titles against Teams like the Rock ‘n’ Roll Express, Flyin’ Brian & The Z-Man, and the Southern Boys, before turning Babyface in a feud against the Four Horsemen.
