• Old School NWA Legend Celebrates His Birthday
Old School NWA Legend Mr. Wrestling II (Real name: John Walker) celebrates his 85th birthday today.
After touring the NWA territories during the 50s, 60s, 70s & early 80s, he was signed by Vince McMahon’s World Wrestling Federation in 1984, when Vince bought ‘Georgia Championship Wrestling’ to get their timeslot on TBS.
The idea was to present GCW talent like him and The Spoiler on the WWF’s own version of ‘World Championship Wrestling’, the TV show they took over from GCW and later sold to Jim Crockett Promotions, so the fans would see some familiar faces that kept them interested in the new product.
Wrestling II didn’t last long and left the WWF in 1986.
He has yet to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame, but due to the young kids of today not knowing who he is, it will likely be an induction into the ‘Legacy Wing’.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
• The Rock Reacts To AJ Styles Taking The Stunner From Stone Cold On RAW
As seen in the opening segment of last night’s RAW, WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin hit United States Champion AJ Styles with a Stone Cold Stunner after the Universal Championship match contract signing with Seth Rollins & Braun Strowman was done.
After RAW went off the air, Austin said some good things about AJ Styles and offered him a beer, but then hit him with the Stunner once again!
Austin tweeted the following about this after RAW:
AJ-Don’t you ever run down the name of Stone Cold Steve Austin. Especially @TheGarden. #DTA @WWE RT @3lone: @AJStylesOrg selling that @steveaustinBSR Stunner like @TheRock ? #RAW pic.twitter.com/uvyGIEZZlY

WWE Hall of Famer & current AEW commentator Jim Ross then came in and said the segment would’ve had a completely different feel if he was on commentary:
Something is missing, in my humble opinion. ? https://t.co/kTiuxEj8Pz
