• The Rock Reveals If He’s Open To Having One More WWE Run

The last match The Rock competed in was an impromptu match that took place at WrestleMania 32 in 2016, where he defeated Erick Rowan of The Wyatt Family in just 6 seconds.

The Great One had his last proper match in WWE at WrestleMania 29 in 2013, where he lost the WWE Championship to John Cena.

During this match, Rock got injured. This resulted in the production of his Hercules movie getting halted.

Due to this reason, Rock never wrestled a proper match in WWE again because he was always filming some movie around WrestleMania time, and he couldn’t take bumps in WWE due to movie insurance reasons.

During an interview with Entertainment Tonight, The People’s Champion was asked if he’d be interested in returning to WWE for another in-ring run.

Here’s what the Hollywood Megastar replied:

“Of course, yeah. I’m always open for that, for sure.”

The Rock’s movie schedule during early-2023, on the road to WrestleMania 39 to be more specific, is clear and we could see The Great One return to WWE for his final match, against current Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns.

WWE has wanted to book The Rock vs. Roman Reigns for many years now.

With Rock being 50 years old, his movie schedule being clear in early 2023 and WrestleMania 39 being “WrestleMania Hollywood”, this could be the perfect place for the WWF Legend’s retirement match.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (July 16, 2001) – Old School Wrestling Legend Passed Away

On this day in 2001, we lost Old School Wrestling Legend Terry “Bam Bam” Gordy at the age of 40 due to a heart attack.

Gordy is mostly remembered as a member of The Fabulous Freebirds and got posthumously inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with other Freebirds Michael Hayes, Buddy Roberts & Jimmy Garvin in 2016.

The famous faction even had a short stint in the World Wrestling Federation in 1984, but after a few weeks they were gone from the promotion.

However, Terry Gordy was last seen on WWF TV in 1996-1997 on his own, this time under a mask as The Executioner, feuding with the legendary Undertaker.
