WWE Elimination Chamber 2024 premium live event at Perth’s Optus Stadium has reached 80,000 pre-registrations in just 48 hours, signaling an imminent sellout for WWE’s return to Australia after 6 years.
According to The West Australian, there’s talks of The Rock wrestling at this event, to set up his match against Undisputed WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns in the main event of WrestleMania 40:
“Adding to the speculation is the fact that WWE was recently sold to Endeavor. There is a strong suggestion the company, which also owns the UFC, wants its first WrestleMania in charge to be an absolute showstopper.
As a result there is talk The Rock might very well wrestle in Perth at the Elimination Chamber in February on his way to WrestleMania to face Reigns two months later.”
The last time The Rock worked an Elimination Chamber event, it was 2013, where he defeated CM Punk in the main event to retain the WWE Championship.
Speaking of WWE returning to Australia, WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker will also be there in February for his 1 deadMAN SHOW.
Below is what WWE posted:
“PERTH…
The Undertaker will bring his 1 deadMAN SHOW to @WestAustralia this February ahead of Elimination Chamber: Perth at @optusstadium! Stay tuned for more details.”
Elimination Chamber 2024 will air in Australian prime time. This means the show will air at 6 AM ET & 3 AM PT in the United States on Saturday, February 24.
