• MJF defended Travis Scott’s involvement at WWE Elimination Chamber, comparing it to Dennis Rodman’s nWo appearances in WCW. Speaking to Sports Illustrated, MJF explained that celebrity involvement brings mainstream media attention from outlets that typically ignore wrestling.

He acknowledged that longtime fans might not care about Scott, but his presence attracted coverage from major networks like ESPN and CNN, benefiting WWE.

Despite accidentally injuring Cody Rhodes at Elimination Chamber, Scott is expected to appear more on WWE TV leading into WrestleMania 41, with WWE even considering him for future matches. MJF believes this is simply good for business.

Below is what he said:

“Should Travis Scott have been there at all? Some people might have said the same thing about Dennis Rodman when he was standing with the NWO back in the day. But because Rodman was there, ESPN picked it up, serious news affiliates covered it—outlets that normally wouldn’t give professional wrestling the time of day because they are f**king m*r*ns. Everything is pro wrestling, right?

So, Travis Scott being there— yeah, fans like me, you, or longtime wrestling watchers might be thinking, ‘What the hell is this guy doing here?’ We don’t have an emotional connection to him.

But a Travis Scott fan who works at ESPN, FOX, MSNBC, or CNN might see it differently. They might go, ‘Oh, sh*t, Travis Scott was involved in this? We should talk about it.’”
