During a recent appearance on ‘Hart To Heart’, WWF Legend Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson spoke about his daughter, current NXT Superstar Ava Raine, and her potential to make it big in WWE.
Here’s what the Most Electrifying Man in Sports Entertainment had to say:
“That was a special moment, when my daughter, Simone — my oldest daughter — said, ‘I want to get into the business’, much like I said that years before her.
Immediately, I just loved it. What a great sense of pride, just as a father.
As a parent, you start to think about all the pitfalls, and all the trappings, and all that hardships, and all that sh*t that I know she’s gonna go through, because I’ve lived that business.
I have enough confidence to know that, as her father, I’ve instilled in her, values, work ethic, things like that. Man, I was so proud.”
Dwayne Johnson made his official WWF debut at the 1996 Survivor Series PPV under the name Rocky Maivia, honoring his father, WWF Veteran Rocky Johnson and his grandfather WWWF Veteran ‘The High Chief’ Peter Maivia.
He later changed his name to The Rock and became the 2nd biggest name (behind Stone Cold Steve Austin) of the famous Attitude Era and eventually transitioned into one of the best paid Hollywood actors.
During his time in the WWF/WWE, he won several championships, including the WWF/WWE Title (8x), the WCW World Heavyweight Title (2x), the WWF Intercontinental Title (2x), the WWF Tag Team Title (5x).
