On this day in Pro Wrestling history on April 1, 2001, the World Wrestling Federation aired ‘WrestleMania X-Seven’ LIVE on PPV from the Astrodome in Houston, Texas.

This was the 17th annual WrestleMania event and had the tagline “Houston, We Have A Problem”.

The inaugural WrestleMania happened in 1985 and even nowadays WrestleMania is still by far the biggest professional wrestling event on the planet each year.

The Iron Sheik won the Gimmick Battle Royal

The Undertaker defeated Triple H

No DQ – WWF Championship: Stone Cold Steve Austin defeated The Rock (c)

• The Undertaker Apologizes To Chris Jericho For Using His Catchphrase

The Undertaker showed his “American Badass / Big Evil” side on this week’s RAW when he cut a promo on AJ Styles.

During the ending moments of his promo, Undertaker called Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson “a$$-clowns”.

This led to the following exchange between a fan, Chris Jericho and The Undertaker on Twitter:

Fan: “@IAmJericho – BIG lawsuit incoming for @undertaker’s use of “assclown”.”

Jericho: “Hardly! He’s the @undertaker…he can used as many of my catch phrases as he wants!!! ?”

Undertaker: “My bad @IAmJericho ….I knew I had heard that somewhere before….”
