On this day in 1979, Jerry Jarrett’s Continental Wrestling Association aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘Memphis Wrestling’.

This promotion was the official Memphis territory from 1977 until it merged with the Texas based World Class Championship Wrestling in 1989 and became the United States Wrestling Association (USWA).

• The Undertaker Had His Final Proper Match 1 Year Ago Today

1 Year ago today, WWE Extreme Rules 2019 took place and it featured The Undertaker’s final, proper in-ring match (unless you want to count with encounter with AJ Styles at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 as a proper match).

The Undertaker teamed up with Roman Reigns to defeat the team of Shane McMahon & Drew McIntyre. This ended up being the best match of the night and they absolutely blew the roof off that place that night.

Undertaker won the match for his team with a Tombstone Piledriver on Shane McMahon, and passed the torch to Reigns after the match as he gave Reigns a pat on the chest and said “this is your yard”.
