• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 15, 2004) – Randy Orton Becomes The Youngest World Champion In WWE History

On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 15, 2004, World Wrestling Entertainment aired ‘WWE SummerSlam 2004’ LIVE on PPV from the Air Canada Centre in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

The PPV theme song of this dual brand pay-per-view was “Summertime Blues” by the band ‘Rush’.

Randy Orton became the youngest World Heavyweight Champion in WWE history at this event. He was 24 years old at that time.

Also at this event, Kane won the right to marry Lita after defeating Matt Hardy, Edge retained the Intercontinental Title, JBL managed to retain the WWE Title against The Undertaker via DQ.

• The Undertaker’s WWE TV (Non-PPV) Return Revealed

As we noted before, The Undertaker’s next WWE PPV/Network special appearance will be on October 6th at the WWE Super Show-Down event at the MCG in Australia. He will face Triple H at that event.

The Undertaker will then make his WWE TV (non-PPV) return 10 days later on October 16th on the historic 1000th episode of SmackDown!

This will be The Undertaker’s second WWE TV (RAW, SmackDown) appearance of 2018. He appeared at RAW 25 earlier this year.

The following matches are also being advertised for SmackDown 1000:

WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles (c) vs. Samoa Joe

– Randy Orton vs. Jeff Hardy

– Daniel Bryan vs. The Miz
