TNA To Debut New Championship At Slammiversary 2015, Former Champion Returns

TNA has announced that the winner of this Sunday’s King of the Mountain match at Slammiversary 2015 will be crowned the first-ever King of the Mountain Champion.

As noted, the match will feature Bobby Roode, Eric Young, Matt Hardy, Drew Galloway and Global Force Wrestling’s owner Jeff Jarrett, making his in-ring return to TNA. Matt Morgan will be coming out of retirement as he also makes his in-ring return at Slammiversary 2015 when he faces Bram.

At last night’s TNA Impact Wrestling tapings, former TNA World Heavyweight Champion Bully Ray returned. He is now the new authority figure of TNA Impact Wrestling. Former WWE Intercontinental Champion Drew Galloway (f.k.a Drew McIntyre) won a 20 man battle royal at last night’s tapings to become the #1 contender to Ethan Carter’s TNA World Heavyweight Championship. He got his title match later in the night and lost the match when Eli Drake turned on Drew.

Matt Hardy defeated Hernandez, Bram and Eric Young in a Ladder Match later in the night to become the new #1 contender to EC3.
