Below are a couple of top TNA & WWE news stories of the day, featuring Monty Brown and Survivor Series 2024.

• Yesterday, TNA announced that Rhino and company co-founder Bob Ryder will be inducted into the TNA Wrestling Hall of Fame this year during the Bound For Glory weekend.

According to Matt Hardy, there was a push for Monty Brown to be inducted this year, but TNA officials couldn’t get in touch with him.

Here’s what Hardy said on his podcast:

“Rhino is a great pick, especially being from the Detroit area. He’s a guy that lives there and takes a lot of pride in living in Detroit now. I don’t know if TNA would exist in the same condition it is right now if not for Bob Ryder. Bob Ryder was hugely influential in TNA and its formation and also its success and just keeping it alive through and through over the years.

I’m glad to see both of those guys. I know there was a big push from a lot of the boys, and I’m down with this too, that Monty Brown was someone that was up for consideration, but it seemed like they were having a hard time getting a hold of Monty Brown.

He’s kind of off the grid, it seems like, but he would have been a really killer candidate, too, considering it’s in Detroit.”

• WWE has made a small adjustment to the upcoming Survivor Series 2024 premium live event, scheduled for Saturday, November 30, at the Rogers Arena in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.

In recent years, WWE has used the WarGames format to add excitement to the event, which previously focused on RAW vs. SmackDown matchups. Fans can likely expect to see the much-anticipated Original Bloodline vs. New Bloodline match at this year’s show.

Originally, promotional material listed the event’s start time as 3:30 PM local time, but WWE’s event page and the arena’s website now show it starting at 2:30 PM local time, which means 5:30 PM EST.
