Below are a couple of top news stories of the day, featuring AEW Rampage and Brock Lesnar.

• AEW Rampage is coming to an end for the foreseeable future, with the final episode scheduled for December 27.

Tony Khan announced the decision during the tonight’s AEW Dynamite tapings for the December 25th episode at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Rampage, which debuted in August 2021, had a strong start with notable moments like Christian Cage winning the TNA IMPACT Wrestling World Championship and CM Punk’s return to wrestling.

However, Rampage struggled with its 10 PM EST time slot and frequent preemptions. It remains uncertain whether this is a temporary break or the end of the show’s run.

• Reports indicate that despite recent mentions of Brock Lesnar on WWE TV, there have been no internal discussions about his return to the company and he isn’t expected to be a part of RAW’s Netflix debut or WrestleMania 41.

Dr. Chris Featherstone revealed that WWE currently has no plans for Lesnar’s comeback, and there is no expectation of him returning in the near future.

This contradicts earlier reports, including one from WrestleVotes, which suggested ongoing talks between Lesnar and WWE.

Lesnar was last seen in WWE at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes and put him over after the match.
