#2 WrestleMania 33 Plans For John Cena Changing From A WWE Title Match To A Mediocre Mixed Tag Team Match

Huge changes were made to John Cena’s WrestleMania 33 match earlier this year. Coming into 2017, plan was for John Cena to capture the WWE Championship from AJ Styles at the Royal Rumble 2017 PPV and then defend the Title against Samoa Joe in a “first time ever” match at WrestleMania 33.

However, plans changed in a big way and now Cena’s scheduled for a match which he has never done at a WrestleMania event.

Cena dropped the WWE Championship at the Elimination Chamber 2017 PPV and is now scheduled to team up with his girlfriend Nikki Bella to face the team of The Miz & Maryse in a mediocre mixed tag team match at WrestleMania 33.

Ever since his in-ring WrestleMania debut back in 2004, Cena has always been in big matches and you can check what he did at WrestleManias over the years below:

WrestleMania 20 – Faced The Big Show in a United States Title match.

WrestleMania 21 – Faced JBL in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 22 – Faced Triple H in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 23 – Faced Shawn Michaels in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 24 – Faced Randy Orton & Triple H in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 25 – Faced Edge & The Big Show in a World Heavyweight Title match.

WrestleMania 26 – Faced Batista in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 27 – Faced The Miz in a WWE Title match.

WrestleMania 28 – Faced The Rock in a “Once in a Lifetime” match.

WrestleMania 29 – Faced The Rock in a WWE Title match.
