5. Former WWE Superstar Appearing On Tonight’s NXT
Former Intercontinental Champion Wade Barrett hasn’t been seen on WWE programming since being released from the company in the summer of 2016.
He’ll finally be making his return to WWE as part of NXT’s commentary team on tonight’s episode. However, this will just be a one-time appearance.
Pro Wrestling Sheet noted the following about it:
“Sources tell us this is just a one-shot deal for now and that the former leader of Nexus – who won the first original season of NXT – has not signed a full-time deal to re-join the company.”
Tonight’s episode of NXT will be taped today, which will feature the fallout from NXT TakeOver XXX.
