Below are some top news stories of the day, involving Adam Copeland (AEW) and The Rock (WWE).

• TNT Champion Adam Copeland (Edge in WWE) has noted in the past that his current AEW contract will be his final contract as an in-ring competitor.

However, Copeland is now open to signing another contract after the current one expires, if he can still put on great performances.

Here’s what The Rated-R Superstar said during an interview with Chris Van Vliet:

“I mean, maybe. You never know, if I can keep performing at a level, but more importantly a level that I can feel proud of.

I just don’t wanna get to a point where I’m really struggling and it’s like pulling teeth to get it done, I don’t want to do that. And thankfully because my career I’m at a point where I don’t have to do that.

I’m doing this because I love it.”

Copeland defeated Brody King of House of Black in a No DQ match on this week’s Dynamite to retain the TNT Title.

His next title defense will be against Kyle O’Reilly on this Saturday’s Collision.

• Dwayne Johnson aka The Rock and Emily Blunt worked together on the movie “Jungle Cruise” back in 2021, and they’re now going to be in “Shatter Machine”.

To celebrate the end of filming, the crew gave gifts to everyone. The Rock gifted Emily tickets to WWE WrestleMania 40, where he wrestled in the main event of Night 1 and was also involved on Night 2.

However, Emily decided to not attend the show and watch it from home instead.

Here’s what she said during an interview with Howard Stern:

“I watched it at home; I did not go watch it live; I wanted to, but I felt…. I had never watched him wrestle. My brother was obsessed with WWE growing up.

It is one of those surreal moments where I remember that as a kid, walking into our TV room and my brother is mainlining The Rock, and then I’m working with him years later. It’s wild.”
