• Top AEW Star Is Thinking About Retiring
At the AEW Full Gear 2025 PPV, The Young Bucks (Matt & Nick Jackson) and Josh Alexander defeated Kenny Omega and Jurassic Express (“Jungle Boy” Jack Perry & Luchasaurus) in a $1 million trios match.
Don Callis Family attacked Omega after the match. The Young Bucks threw their money bags down and ran to the ring to save Omega. Matt and Nick shook hands with Jack and Luchasaurus. Young Bucks offered a handshake to Omega. Omega slapped their hands and then they hugged it out. Omega raised their hands.
During an interview with CBS Sports, Omega said he’s thinking about retiring:
“There are good and bad days for Kenny Omega. I want to do the best I can. I don’t want people to worry about me. I want to do a performance that I’m proud of, and that my opponent can benefit from… without further endangering myself.
I’ve been thinking a lot about when that timing would be. Another important thing for me is, when I finally do leave, whenever that may be, and this might sound odd, I don’t want people to be sad.
In fact, the best-case scenario for me is that they don’t realize I’m gone at all. I’d love to have the peace of mind that the company has built enough stars so that their star is shining bright enough to distract from me stepping away from the scene. That would make me most happy.”
• “These guys ain’t real pro wrestlers, none of them” – Jon Moxley After AEW Full Gear Loss
At AEW Full Gear 2025, Kyle O’Reilly defeated Jon Moxley via submission in their No Holds Barred match. Moxley has now tapped out to O’Reilly twice in a span of 10 days. Moxley showed respect to O’Reilly after losing, but then attacked him.
Backstage, Moxley had the following to say about his loss:
“Camera guy! Perfect. Tell us about how to win matches around here. Tell us about who is the winner and who’s the loser, because I’m still standing! I’m doing just fine right now and Kyle O’Reilly is taking a trip to the hospital tonight. These Conglomeration guys ain’t got no durability.
Ishii’s on the shelf, Kyle O’Reilly’s going to the hospital tonight. Darby Allin, ‘Mr Big Hero,’ he’s been to the hospital what, like two, three times? Like, does he have a punch card discount at this point? He goes out there tonight, he’s still an amateur, these are your guys, they ain’t real wrestlers.
These guys ain’t real pro wrestlers, none of them, they don’t know what the life’s about, they never lived the life. I was trying to teach him, trying to bring it out of them, trying to reach in and grab it out of them!
I thought Kyle O’Reilly had it in him, he was a real pro wrestler at one point, but now he’s one of these guys, one of these wusses, and he’s going to the hospital tonight.
It ain’t over, man, the game just keeps on going. Y’all are celebrating. You’re going to celebrate your careers into an early grave. I’ve seen people celebrate this company to near extinction.
We ain’t got no time to celebrate, because there’s another fight tomorrow. The battle continues tomorrow. That’s what the life is about, man. Y’all celebrating the regular season. You don’t look too good, it’s a shame because the playoffs are about to start.”
"THE BATTLE CONTINUES TOMORROW! That's what the life is about, man! Y'all celebrating the regular season, man."
