• Top AEW Star Turns Down Offer To Return To WWE
One of the hottest topics of conversation right now in pro-wrestling is WWE reaching out to some AEW wrestlers.
After AEW EVP Cody Rhodes left the company and returned to WWE earlier this year, and Triple H taking over the creative process in WWE after Vince McMahon’s retirement, the belief is that a lot of wrestlers will be willing to return to WWE with HHH in-charge.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Bobby Fish (who recently left AEW after his contract expired) tried to get Adam Cole & Kyle O’Reilly to ask for their release from All Elite Wrestling, so they could all return to WWE, but Cole & O’Reilly said no:
“I know Fish was trying to get Cole and Kyle to ask for their releases to go back to WWE and they both told him no.
It’s possible Cole may have clued Tony [Khan] in. If he did, I doubt he was the only one. I’m sure Swerve [Strickland] was one of them who did so.”
Cole, O’Reilly & Fish were all a part of The Undisputed Era stable in NXT. Roderick Strong was a part of it, but he’s still in WWE.
As we reported earlier, Fish made his debut in IMPACT Wrestling at last night’s Victory Road PPV and indirectly talked about his issues with CM Punk (tap here for more).
