Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, involving Ric Flair and Rey Mysterio:

• WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair recently made his All Elite Wrestling debut on an episode of AEW Dynamite, where he was revealed to be Sting’s gift from Tony Khan.

MJF is pretty much considered a generational talent and The Nature Boy expressed interest in confronting the current AEW World Champion, which led to MJF responding to Flair’s comments on Twitter.

Here’s what he tweeted:

“How about a buried alive match?”

Flair is open to taking a table bump in AEW, implying a willingness to engage in physical confrontations. It suggests that there might be a potential future showdown between MJF and Ric Flair in Tony Khan’s All Elite Wrestling, but that remains to be seen.

On July 31st 2022, Ric Flair had his last match, where he teamed up with his son-in-law Andrade El Idolo and defeated the team of Jeff Jarrett & Jay Lethal. Flair passed out twice during this match due to dehydration.

• At the WWE Crown Jewel 2023 premium live event, Logan Paul punched Rey Mysterio using brass knuckles and pinned him to win the United States Championship.

Despite losing the Title, Mysterio managed to make history.

This United States Title reign of Rey Mysterio was the only US Title reign in history to both start and end outside of USA.

Mysterio won the Title from Austin Theory on an episode of SmackDown in Calgary, Alberta, Canada in August, and lost it in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia in November.
