• Top AEW Wrestler Tested Positive For COVID-19, New Plan For Tonight’s Dynamite Announced

The #1 contender for Jon Moxley’s AEW World Championship, Lance Archer, took to Twitter to announce that he has tested positive for COVID-19.

Below is what he posted:

“When I returned from our last show, a family member was ill when I got home. I found out later a friend who had taken my family member to the Vet for our Dachshund was COVID positive. While at home, now I’ve also gotten sick tested positive. I feel ok, expect to see me in 2 wks”

This means that Archer will most likely miss the next 2-3 episodes of Dynamite.

Team Moxley vs. Team Archer was set to take place on tonight’s Dynamite, but that has been nixed now.

Moxley noted on Twitter that he’ll now defend the AEW World Championship on tonight’s episode.

AEW then announced that Moxley will defend the title against Eddie Kingston.

Kingston previously noted that he wasn’t eliminated from the Casino Battle Royale, so that’s the reason behind him getting a title match tonight.

Speaking of tonight’s Dynamite, Miro (fka Rusev in WWE) will make his AEW in-ring debut in a tag team match.
