Bianca Belair has been out of action since suffering a broken finger during a Triple Threat Match against Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 41 in April.

In an update, Bianca noted on her Instagram story that she will be undergoing finger surgery on February 16.

During an interview with BET 106 & Sports in November, Bianca explained the severity of her injury and confirmed that her recovery hasn’t gone as expected.

“I broke my knuckle, broke the joint. It’s something that I thought was going to be a very straightforward 8 to 12 weeks – it’s been almost 6 months at this point.

It was WrestleMania. I was in a Triple Threat with Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY, and we were going to the top rope, because that’s what we do. And we came off the top rope, and Rhea landed straight on my hand, and it just crushed everything in my finger. So it’s been a crazy journey.

Being an athlete and having an injury, you rely on your body, and now my body’s not doing what it’s supposed to do. But, I’m hoping I can be back in the ring soon.”

At AEW Grand Slam Australia, “Timeless” Toni Storm and Orange Cassidy defeated Marina Shafir and Wheeler Yuta in a Hair vs. Hair match. Yuta got his head shaved.

According to Fightful Select, many within the company believed Wheeler Yuta was going to have his head shaved as part of the Grand Slam storyline, and he was a “good sport” about it.
