Top Star Is Not Leaving WWE

LA Knight has been one of WWE’s most popular stars in recent years, consistently generating loud reactions wherever he appears. Despite that, his stop-and-start booking has left many fans frustrated. There have been several instances where it felt like he was on the verge of finally reaching the top, only for WWE to hesitate when it mattered the most.

The latest example came when The Megastar lost the final of The Last Time Is Now Tournament to GUNTHER.

Many fans felt that the result didn’t make much sense, given that The Ring General is already a fully established name. He holds the record for the longest Intercontinental Championship reign in history, a former two-time World Heavyweight Champion, and the man who retired Goldberg.

For many, having Knight retire John Cena would have done far more for his momentum.

Things escalated further after The Megastar lost to Logan Paul in the main event and was brutally assaulted by The Vision on this week’s episode of RAW. That sequence led fans online to panic, speculating that the company was burying him.

However, that is not the case. According to Fightful Select, sources within WWE were actually surprised that viewers interpreted the angle as a burial. Internally, it was simply viewed as a standard story-driven beatdown.

The report also noted that Knight re-signed with WWE last year and still has several years left on his contract, so he isn’t going anywhere.

Furthermore, it shut down rumors that WWE was punishing him for holding up a “We want LA Knight, not Jey Uso” sign on RAW last month. If that was true, he wouldn’t have gone over Jey in the Last Time Is Now Tournament.

As noted before, WWE has big plans for Knight heading into 2026.
