Below are a couple of top WWE news stories of the day, featuring Royal Rumble 2025 and Goldberg.

• Despite a partnership between WWE & TNA, TNA star Nic Nemeth (fka Dolph Ziggler in WWE) won’t return to WWE as a surprise entrant in the 2025 Men’s Royal Rumble match this Saturday.

Here’s what WrestleVotes reported:

“And we asked a couple of people if they would be able to provide some talent names that will be in the house in Indianapolis Saturday, and we did get a couple of names back. I think you guys might be interested in the list. Some of these are out there. Some of these maybe not. We’ll see.

However, we can say that RVD, Rhino, JBL, Matt Cardona, Bubba Ray Dudley, Tommy Dreamer, Hacksaw Jim Duggan, Ric Flair, Mark Henry, both Hardy Boys, Mickie James, and Victoria are all slated to be in one way, shape, or form in Indianapolis this weekend centered around the Royal Rumble event.

On the flip side, we did ask a source, and we were told now that he is no longer TNA World Champion, still do not expect Nic Nemeth, obviously the former Dolph Ziggler, to be appearing in the Royal Rumble, regardless of a partnership between WWE and TNA.”

• On his CarCast podcast, Goldberg revealed that he’s scheduled to undergo stem cell treatment in Colombia to prepare for his retirement match in WWE this year:

“I’m thinking, ‘I’m doing all of this sh*t for one night.’ I’m literally busting my a$$. I’m up here in the garage, in the gym, every night.

Granted, I don’t work out like I used to. It’s a 45-minute Jack LaLanne workout as opposed to the whole Goldberg days.

I have to crawl before I run. We all know I have a pretty screwed up shoulder. That’s my biggest concern getting into this retirement match. I’m going to go get stem cells.”

Other wrestlers, such as Bobby Lashley, Diamond Dallas Page, and Kevin Nash, have undergone the same treatment.
