The SmackDown Live dark main event (which takes place after 205 Live goes off the air) for this week saw former NXT Champion Shinsuke Nakamura defeat Dolph Ziggler. It should be noted that Nakamura didn’t appear live on SmackDown Live, while Ziggler worked the #1 contenders match.

Speaking of The New Day, they’re expected to appear on SmackDown Live when Kofi Kingston is good to go in a few weeks (he’s out of action with an ankle injury).
