6. Finn Balor’s Injuries To Negatively Affect His WWE Main Roster Push?

Former WWE Universal Champion Finn Balor made his WWE main roster debut in July 2016 on Monday Night Raw. Ever since his debut on the main roster, he has wrestled 10 televised matches and he has been injured twice.

The first injury occured at SummerSlam 2016 and this injury resulted in him relinquishing the WWE Universal Title just one night after winning it. This also led to him missing WrestleMania 33.

Balor then made his return to WWE programming on Raw after WrestleMania 33, where he competed in a tag team match. On last week’s episode of Raw, Balor faced Jinder Mahal and took a hard forearm to the back of the head and this resulted in him falling flat on his face.

Balor was visibly shaken after this and quickly finished the match. Below is a photo of how Balor looked after the match:

PWInsider then reported that Balor suffered a concussion and is expected to be out of action for some time. Below is what Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer had to say about Balor:

“Finn Balor showed up and he had the shoulder surgery, and then in his second TV match back he gets hurt again, so it’s like…I hope he doesn’t get hurt one more time because you don’t wanna have that thing in Vince’s head that you’re injury prone. It doesn’t kill you because Vince has that thing in his head about other people and they still get pushed to a degree. But it does temper him from going all the way with somebody.”
