Brock Lesnar Matt Riddle Backstage Confrontation WWE Royal Rumble 2020

• Top WWE Star Allegedly Leaked The Story Of Brock Lesnar Confronting Matt Riddle

While talking to R3 Interviews, Matt Riddle shared the story of his infamous backstage run-in with Brock Lesnar at Royal Rumble 2020, and he thinks he knows exactly who leaked the details to the press.

After Riddle had spent years calling out The Beast in the media, saying that he will retire Brock Lesnar, Lesnar finally caught up to him in the arena hallway. According to Riddle, Lesnar grabbed him by the neck — not to hurt him, but to get his attention — and told him flat-out that they will never work together in the ring. Lesnar said: “Keep my name out of your mouth.”

Riddle says he stayed calm and told Lesnar he was just “talking trash” to build hype and didn’t realize it would get him so worked up. Once he assured Lesnar he wouldn’t try to force a match, the tension cooled down.

The Original Bro said the real twist happened right after the confrontation. He went straight to the locker room and told Kevin Owens what happened. Within five minutes, the story was already all over the wrestling news sites.

Riddle joked that if fans ever wonder how backstage secrets get out, they should look at Owens, saying “that guy just loves to spill beans.”

• Top Star Pushed WWE To Sign Danhausen

Danhausen didn’t just end up in WWE by accident — he reportedly had some major backup from the World Heavyweight Champion. According to the Wrestling Observer, CM Punk was the primary person pushing for the company to sign the former AEW star.

WWE is being very careful with how they introduce the eccentric character to their audience. After his debut at Elimination Chamber 2026 in Chicago — where he climbed out of a mystery crate to a mix of cheers and confusion — the company decided to play it safe on RAW.

Instead of an in-ring segment, they featured him in a quick backstage skit. This allowed officials to test the waters and see how fans reacted without risking a negative response from a live crowd.

The strategy seems to be working. During that RAW appearance, Danhausen placed his signature “curse” on Dominik Mysterio. Later that same night, the curse appeared to be real: Mysterio lost his Intercontinental Championship to Penta.

Danhausen also appeared on SmackDown and got a pop. Nick Aldis named The Miz as the mentor of Danhausen.

WWE is already seeing a huge financial return on its newest signing, with Danhausen proving to be a massive hit on the shop page.

Despite the mixed reactions to his debut, PWInsider reports that WWE management is “pleasantly surprised” by how quickly his merchandise is flying off the shelves.

• Konnan Reportedly Undergoes Leg Amputation

Konnan is reportedly in a San Diego hospital in “delicate” condition following a serious surgery to amputate one of his legs. While some rumors on social media claimed he had passed away, major news outlets like MVS Noticias have confirmed that the 62-year-old is alive, though his health remains very fragile.

This latest crisis comes after decades of grueling health battles for the WCW veteran. He started facing health issues in the mid-2000s from the physical toll of his career, leading to a kidney transplant in 2007 and a hip replacement that same year. More recently, a severe case of COVID-19 in 2021 caused both heart and kidney failure, and he has been back on a transplant waiting list since 2022.

Reports from Mexican media, including the sports publication RÉCORD, suggest that long-term complications led to the recent amputation. There are also ongoing concerns that his other leg could be at risk due to the same underlying medical issues. Doctors are currently monitoring him closely as he recovers from the procedure.

Fellow WCW veteran Buff Bagwell underwent a leg amputation last year.

• Buff Bagwell Returns At TNA iMPACT Tapings, Wants One Final Match

WCW veteran Buff Bagwell made a surprise appearance during Thursday’s TNA iMPACT tapings in Atlanta and addressed the crowd about the struggles he has faced in recent years.

Bagwell then said that if the crowd could support him one more time, he would be willing to walk down to the ring and wrestle for TNA one final time.

The moment was interrupted by Frankie Kazarian, who came out and mocked Bagwell while running him down on the microphone.

Elijah (fka Elias in WWE) soon entered the scene and chased Kazarian away before the situation could escalate further. Afterward, Elijah turned to Bagwell and invited him to ‘Walk with Elijah.’
