Below are a couple of important WWE news stories:

– Drew McIntyre is set to challenge GUNTHER for the Intercontinental Championship at SummerSlam in Detroit, Michigan next Saturday.

On last week’s episode of RAW, The Scottish Warrior cut a promo and disrespected IMPERIUM, which led to a match between him and Ludwig Kaiser.

After McIntyre defeated Kaiser, GUNTHER and Giovanni Vinci attacked him. Matt Riddle then came out to make the save, but GUNTHER took him out with a Powerbomb.

McIntyre fought back and powerbombed The Ring General through the announce table and then posed with the Intercontinental Championship.

However, McIntyre will not appear on the RAW before SummerSlam this Monday.

According to the Wrestling Observer, McIntyre will be in Budapest, Hungary on Monday as he’s shooting a film there, so he will miss RAW.

Therefore, it’s likely that GUNTHER will build up his match with McIntyre alone this Monday.

– In the main event of SummerSlam 2023 on August 5th, Jey Uso will face Roman Reigns for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship and The Tribal Chief spot in a Tribal Combat match.

This past Friday on SmackDown, Jey Uso defeated Grayson Waller in the main event, and then was destroyed by Roman and Solo Sikoa after the match.

WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi is supporting his son Jey in this feud. “The Right Hand Man” has full support from his father to become the next Tribal Chief.

Rikishi posted the following graphic on his Instagram story and wrote:

“Run it.”
