– Bianca Belair hurt her knee (storyline wise) during the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Women’s Championship against Asuka and Charlotte Flair at SummerSlam 2023.
Belair still managed to win the match and become the new WWE Women’s Championship, only to be successfully cashed-in on by IYO SKY a few moments later.
On the August 18th episode of SmackDown, Belair was assaulted by Damage CTRL backstage, where they further injured her knee.
According to Fightful Select, this injury angle was done to write Belair off TV:
“Belair was planned for some time off, and was factored in creatively. However, we’ve heard differing things on how long she could be out, ranging from a few weeks to possibly 3 months.”
– CM Punk got into a fight with “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry after Perry took a shot at him during his FTW Championship match with HOOK on the AEW All In Zero Hour.
There was a report about Punk’s friend, Brody King, punching a wall out of frustration due to Punk’s fight and injuring his hand.
However, that was not the case.
According to Bryan Alvarez, Brody King did not punch a wall. He kicked a garbage can in the aftermath of what happened, largely due to frustration that it happened in the first place.
His hand was injured on the guardrail during House of Black’s AEW World Trios Championship defense against The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn.
