AEW President Tony Khan brought back CM Punk to All Elite Wrestling this summer and gave him full control of Collision. However, things did not get better even when Punk and The Elite were kept on different shows 9 months after their brawl at All Out 2022.
Punk has had problems with multiple talents over the past couple of months and the most recent addition to his enemies list in AEW is “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry.
The “Real” AEW World Champion and Perry got into a fight backstage at AEW All In after Perry took a shot at Punk during the event’s Zero Hour. This fight was reportedly witnessed by Tony Khan himself, who almost got hurt during it.
According to PWTorch, Punk’s relationship with Khan might be getting to the point of beyond repair after what happened at All In.
Punk was upset about not being picked up from the airport by anyone from AEW. He wasn’t aware that no talent was picked up from the airport and he wasn’t singled out or forgotten about.
Everything frustrated Punk so much that he confronted Khan in front of other people and then in his own locker room. According to the report, Punk confronted Khan in an intense manner and things got heated. He threatened to quit AEW and “chewed out” Khan with harsh words.
Punk initially disagreed to compete in the match with Samoa Joe, but he later went out and competed against Joe. There was no communication between Punk and Khan after Punk vs. Joe.
