• Triple H Got Control Of 205 Live Because Of Enzo Amore Getting Fired?

As we noted before, PWInsider reported that Vince McMahon has stepped down and put Triple H incharge of 205 Live (weekly WWE Network show).

Vince McMahon wanted the show to be character driven and that’s the reason why Enzo Amore was booked to win the WWE Cruiserweight Championship.

However, Triple H and many others in the company believe that the show should be presented in a format similar to that of the Cruiserweight Classic tournament, where the focus is on athletic characters and strong in-ring competition.

During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Dave Meltzer pointed out how Enzo Amore getting fired eventually led to Triple H getting the control of the show from Vince McMahon:

“If Enzo wouldn’t have gotten fired, we wouldn’t have had this. Vince wouldn’t have given it up. Vince giving it up & Enzo getting fired were not coincidental.

This kind of show happened with Enzo because Enzo was the star of the show and you can’t have a serious wrestling show built around technical matches & great wrestlers and Enzo being the focal point of the show.

That just doesn’t mix. So Enzo getting fired changed the face of this.”
