• Triple H Has Become The Villain & Honeymoon Period Is Over, Says WWE Veteran

According to Stevie Richards, Triple H has officially crossed over from celebrated visionary to overexposed egomaniac. During his recent discussion about WWE’s WrestleMania 42 promo, Richards said the man once hailed for “saving” WWE’s creative direction has now “lived long enough to become the villain.”

Richards said that when Triple H first took control of WWE’s creative team, fans were optimistic. “There was a honeymoon period – 2022, 2023, even 2024 – people thought he was doing great things,” he said. “Now, it’s just become about him. Every major show opens with his voice or his image.”

The ECW veteran mocked how WWE’s most powerful executive has worked his way into nearly every piece of branding. From doing voiceovers for hype videos to posing in promotional photos, Richards said it’s clear that The Game can’t resist inserting himself into the spotlight.

He also questioned why Triple H, who no longer wrestles regularly, is constantly featured in event marketing alongside active performers. “He’s not even a character on TV anymore, but he’s taking up space that should be for the people actually wrestling,” Richards remarked.

According to him, this obsession with control and attention has transformed Triple H’s reputation. What once looked like passion for the business now looks like a power trip. “He’s become what people used to accuse Vince (McMahon) of being – obsessed with his own image,” Richards concluded.

• John Cena’s Father Reveals What He Texted His Son After AJ Styles Match

During an interview with SK Wrestling, John Cena Sr. opened up about his son’s recent match against AJ Styles at WWE Crown Jewel 2025, calling it one of the best bouts in recent years and a true example of professional wrestling done right.

Cena Sr. praised both men for their flawless chemistry and storytelling, saying the match should be studied by every young wrestler trying to understand ring psychology.

“They worked so well together. They read the crowd, they listened, and they delivered exactly what the fans wanted,” Cena Sr. said. “That’s how it’s supposed to be done.”

While he called it a phenomenal performance, Cena Sr. also criticized WWE’s lack of proper buildup for the match. He said the storyline leading into the encounter was weak compared to the level of talent involved. “It was a very poor buildup to what I consider a phenomenal match,” he remarked.

After the match, Cena Sr. revealed he immediately texted his son to tell him how proud he was.

“I wrote, ‘Kid, you still got it,’” he said. “John texted back and said, ‘I’m glad you enjoyed it, Dad. It was a lot of fun.’”

Cena Sr. also expressed admiration for AJ Styles, noting that the former WWE Champion plans to retire next year – something he believes will be “another sad day for wrestling.” He praised Styles as one of the few remaining wrestlers who truly understand in-ring storytelling and psychology.

The proud father went on to talk about his son’s mindset as he transitioned away from full-time competition. He said John had always been honest about knowing when to step away.

“He told me, ‘When I can’t go the way I used to and give the fans what I used to, then it’s time to think about retiring.’”

According to Cena Sr., that philosophy has guided his son’s gradual move to Hollywood while still maintaining a deep respect for WWE. “There’s life after wrestling, and John always knew that,” he said. “But no matter what he does, he’s never forgotten where he came from.”
