Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Triple H and Cody Rhodes.
• Gage Goldberg, son of WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg, expressed confidence in his father’s potential for a match against World Heavyweight Champion Gunther during an interview with SK Wrestling.
He stated that his father remains physically and mentally ready for such challenges, highlighting his ability to switch into “game over” mode:
“I know he’s still got it. He’s got a little while to prepare. I already know that he’s gonna be ready for that fight 100%. I don’t really know if age can be a factor with my dad, because he’s just got it. It’s a switch in his head that when it’s flipped, it’s just game over.”
Gage also praised Triple H as a supportive and kind figure in the wrestling world:
“I honestly love Triple H. He’s super nice to my dad, great person, very nice to my mom. I like him. Honestly, he’s awesome.”
When asked if Triple H has told him to contact him if he decides to become a pro-wrestler in WWE, Gage replied:
“Oh yeah. Yes sir.”
Gage first appeared on WWE television in 2016 alongside his father and is now a freshman linebacker for the Colorado Buffaloes.

• Paul Heyman praised Cody Rhodes, the current Undisputed WWE Champion, in an interview with CBS Sports, stating that Rhodes has become the most prominent figure in his family’s legacy.
Ahead of Rhodes’ title defense against Kevin Owens on Saturday Night’s Main Event, Heyman emphasized Cody’s remarkable evolution, saying:
“To Cody’s indescribably massive credit, I think now is the point in history that we’re realizing that Dusty Rhodes is Cody Rhodes’ father.
Cody Rhodes is the bearer of the family name that drives the most interest and is now the most famous. If you would have told someone that 3 years ago, they would have thought you were nuts.
That man has worked so hard, so tirelessly and so magnificently and has hit it out of the park consistently 52 weeks of the year and has never struck out. Not once have I seen a bad performance from Cody Rhodes. Not once have I seen him lackluster; not once have I seen him rest on his laurels.
If you can’t give that man his flowers right now, you’re not paying attention.”
Heyman concluded by urging recognition of Rhodes’ achievements, calling his work exemplary.
