Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Vince McMahon.

• Even after Vince McMahon’s departure from WWE, some of his longstanding rules remain in place. Despite stepping down due to serious allegations, including sexual trafficking and misconduct, McMahon’s influence continues to be felt within the company.

While Triple H has discarded many of McMahon’s strict regulations, Dave Meltzer revealed on Wrestling Observer Radio that WWE still enforces the rule banning the use of the word “belt.” Meltzer stated, “Even with Vince McMahon being gone, they can’t say belt. They brought out new belts, and no one can say the word belt.”

Although McMahon no longer has an active role in WWE, certain elements of his legacy continue to shape the company’s operations.

• Vince McMahon’s life and career are explored in the docuseries “Mr. McMahon,” featuring interviews with wrestlers and the McMahon family.

The series briefly touches on Vince’s admission of having affairs while married to Linda, even incorporating it into on-screen storylines.

However, both Vince and Linda provide little insight into the situation, with Linda not commenting at all.

David Shoemaker, a consulting producer on the docuseries, reflected on this during an appearance on the SI Media podcast. He said, “I think it’s clear from watching, you asked about Vince not giving you anything, Linda was not the most forthcoming person in that interview either. I think I was there for that one, I don’t even remember if there was more good stuff on the cutting room floor. I certainly wish we could have gotten more details about that from her. It’s a very business relationship, I would say.”

Further details about Vince’s affairs and his relationship with Linda were revealed in a lawsuit filed by former employee Janel Grant in January.
