• Triple H Wants To Bring Back More Former WWE Stars
The Triple H Era in WWE has begun, as he’s running the creative process of RAW & SmackDown now, after Vince McMahon announced his retirement from all roles.
As soon as Triple H took over, the following things happened:
– Dakota Kai returns to WWE
– IYO SKY (fka Io Shirai) brought up to RAW from NXT
– Max Dupri put back with Maximum Male Models
– Karrion Kross & Scarlett return to WWE
According to Fightful Select, the deals with Dakota, Karrion & Scarlett happened very quickly, as they have a great relationship with Triple H.
Triple H and other WWE Officials want to bring back more released stars, as HHH wants to add depth to the WWE roster, which was lacking after so many wrestlers got released due to ‘budget cuts’ over the last two years.

• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (August 8, 1998) – WCW ROAD WILD 1998
On this day in Pro Wrestling history on August 8, 1998, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Road Wild 1998’ LIVE on PPV from the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in Sturgis, South Dakota.
This was the third out of a total of 4 annual WCW events (1996-1999) from the Sturgis Harley Davidson Rally, and while all four events are usually destroyed by the critics for not earning a cent in revenue money because it was totally free for the bikers in attendance, they were still pretty cool & entertaining to watch for a fan, as a big outdoor event always had kind of a special feeling to it.
Here are the results:
Meng defeated The Barbarian
The Public Enemy defeated The Dancing Fools
Raven’s Rules: Saturn defeated Raven & Kanyon
#1 contender for the WCW Cruiserweight Championship: Rey Mysterio Jr. defeated Psychosis
WCW World Television Championship: Stevie Ray (c) defeated Chavo Guerrero Jr.

Goldberg won the nWo Invitational Battle Royal
