• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (January 17, 2016) – Old School WWF Veteran Passed Away
On this day in 2016 we lost Old School World Wrestling Federation Veteran “Iron” Mike Sharpe (Real name: Michael Sharpe) at the age of 64.
Mike Sharpe is still to this day considered one of the best so called “Jobbers To The Stars” in WWF/E history.

• Triple H’s WrestleMania 34 Feud Possibly Kicking Off In The Men’s Royal Rumble Match
As seen on this week’s episode of Raw, Raw General Manager Kurt Angle fired “The Monster Among Men” Braun Strowman for his actions, but he was rehired on orders of Raw Commissioner Stephanie McMahon.
Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez discussed this angle on Wrestling Observer Radio and Alvarez noted that this was probably done to start Triple H’s WrestleMania 34 angle during the Men’s Royal Rumble 2018 match.
Below is what Alvarez thinks:
“I can make sense of it. I mean it’s stupid but I can make sense of it. Stephanie wants Braun Strowman in the Royal Rumble so Hunter can publicly humiliate him on a big show.
What do you mean that’s not happening? (*when Meltzer thought it’s not gonna happen*). You don’t think it’s Hunter and Braun Strowman at Mania? Well, they did that whole angle at Survivor Series so that would be a good place to start the build – Royal Rumble.
There’s no, absolutely zero other even remotely logical reasons to rehire Braun Strowman after what he did. So I presume that’s why. I guess we’ll see.”
