3. Two Big Universal Title PPV Matches Cancelled Due To Finn Balor’s Injury
After Finn Balor defeated Seth Rollins to win the Universal Championship at SummerSlam 2016 , two big PPV matches were planned with him defending the Universal Title.
Balor was scheduled to resume his feud with Kevin Owens, this time for the Universal Title (Balor defeated Owens to capture the NXT Championship at Beast in the East 2015) at Clash of the Champions 2016 (which takes place on September 25th and is a Raw exclusive PPV event).
That match was scheduled to end in such a way that it would set a Triple Threat Match for the Universal Title between Balor, Owens & Chris Jericho at Hell in a Cell 2016 on October 30th.
Speaking of the Universal Title, Kevin Owens is the favorite to walk out of tonight’s Raw as the new Universal Champion.
