UFC 302 Results – Dustin Poirier Gets Submitted, Fails To Finish The Story (Video)

In the main event of tonight’s UFC 302 pay-per-view at the Prudential Center, in Newark, New Jersey, Islam Makhachev defeated Dustin Poirier via submission in the final round to retain the UFC Lightweight Championship.

Prior to the PPV, Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes sent a message to Dustin to “finish your story”, just like he did against Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 40.

In the post-fight interview, Islam said he wants to fight for the Welterweight Title now. On the other hand, Dustin said this could’ve been his last fight. Dustin’s daughter was seen crying after the fight.

Former US President & WWE Hall of Famer (celebrity wing) Donald Trump attended this event and was seated cageside.
